Uprooting the trees
His path of destruction
Brought the empire to its knees

The Green Lich
A curious wizard
Overcome by ancient runes
The magic infected his body
And its bidding
He has done
A monster
He has become
Village and city
Have fallen by his hand
With a wave of his staff
He parts the Burning Sands
His conquest continues
Over the Great Divide
He’ll soon reach our kingdom
We have no place to hide

Far across the valley
A warrior rides upon his steed
Charging through the desert
Over the sand at breakneck speed

Hot on the wizard’s heels
Following the trail of death and misery
It’s only a matter of time
Until the sorcerer meets his steel

Lich’s Bane
Forged in flame
The enchanted blade
Will deliver your fate!

On the horizon
The lich appears
“Man your stations!
And swallow your fear

Shutter your windows
Bar your doors
Batten down the hatches
And prepare for war!”

On the edge of calamity
We brace for impact
As the Great Green Cloud approaches
Carrying the evil magic

A crack of thunder
Echoes through the valley
For, on horseback, the rider wields
An enchanted Blade of Destiny

Through the cloud he plunges forth
Parts the wind with his mighty sword
Into
The eye
Of the storm
He flies
Tonight
He dies
The green storm subsides

On the ground
Lying face down
A wizard’s body

All at once
A hellish green mist erupts from the corpse
Quickly infecting the sky
Consuming the clouds and obscuring the light
Unbounded by flesh and bone
The cursed magic spreads out far and wide
The rider aghast and alone
Falls to his knees as he watches his home
Overcome
By an ancient ruthless magic tome
Dug up by the fool
Slain by his own hand
A broken man
A broken land

Not all hope is lost
But it comes at the highest cost

He picks up the cursed tome
Recites the incantation
The magic begins returning home
As he feels his soul be taken!
